release date, price and technical sheet
With just a few days left until the official launch of the Samsung Galaxy S23, we’re going over the various information we already have. As you can see, there have been a lot of leaks, so Samsung’s next high-end smartphone doesn’t have many secrets anymore.
We go through the various bugs shared on the web regarding the Galaxy S23, S23 + and S23 Ultra. From the design to the spec sheet, the camera block and the prices, we tell you everything or almost everything.
A very familiar design
We’re not going too far when we say we know what the Galaxy S23 will look like. Indeed, many “leaks” presented images of the smartphones until we got high-resolution press renders of each model. What the Galaxy S23 and S23+ should look like:
It’s hard to tell the two models apart, and for good reason, as they’ll benefit from the same design that differs from the Galaxy S22 and S22+ with the placement of the camera modules. These are placed vertically directly on the back of the phone, rather than on a block that hugs the sides of the phone. A signature that the Galaxy S22 Ultra adopted last year. So, Samsung plays the consistency card to easily identify the Galaxy range.

The Galaxy S23 Ultra stands out with a more rectangular design that follows almost the lines of the Galaxy S22 Ultra, which follows the lines of the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. The camera modules have the same position as last year, and the aesthetic changes here are in order of optimization. Note that the S-Pen stylus will still be in the game and there is room to store it directly on the smartphone.
The last image provides an overview of the range and the four colors that will be offered: black, cream, green and lavender.
Muscle technical sheet
The specifications of the different models have also been the subject of all kinds of leaks. The latest gift Galaxy S23 and S23+ spec sheets. For the S23 Ultra, German site WinFuture would get the specifications. We have summarized everything in the table that you can find below.
The Galaxy S23 is rumored to carry a slightly more specialized Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, giving it an edge over the competition. Indeed, the Korean manufacturer would work with Qualcomm to develop the so-called “Galcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform for Galaxy,” a SoC specifically tailored for its high-end smartphones.

The “classic” version of the processor will have a frequency of 3.36 GHz against 3.2 GHz. Add to that UFS 4.0 memory chips with LPDDR5X RAM that’s twice as fast as the Galaxy S22 and 33% faster, and you’ve got the S23s looking like racehorses.
The three models are distinguished by their screen, battery, charging speed, as well as the camera unit. The 23 Ultra is logically the best service, but it will also be the largest, heaviest and most expensive in the range.
Focus on night photography
As the Galaxy S23 teasing videos reveal, Samsung will be focusing some of its communication on its phone’s ability to capture high-quality night photos. If we look at the technical report, it says that the Galaxy S23 camera modules will have little improvement compared to its predecessors, at least on paper.
Indeed, Samsung has time to work on image processing algorithms that can fully exploit the power of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. pinpoint surrounding objects to highlight them better.
Qualcomm’s new platform is also known to better support 200-megapixel camera modules. That’s good, because the Galaxy S23 Ultra is expected to come with a camera module of this size, the Samsung ISOCELL HP2 image sensor we’ve brought you here. The S22 Ultra is still a photo reference today, and its successor may pick up the torch.
French prices have been revised upwards
Then comes the difficult question of pricing. A recent leak shared the French prices, which have been drastically increased compared to the Galaxy S22 prices. In effect, In a tweet from January 18user billbil-kun published the prices of the Samsung Galaxy S23:
- Samsung Galaxy S23 :

If this information is true, the Galaxy S23 will cost 60-140 euros or 4-11% more than the Galaxy S22 in France. To better accommodate this increase, Samsung is removing the 128GB versions of the Galaxy S23 Ultra and S23 Plus. The latter will also benefit from a new version with 512 GB of memory.
