In the excitement of the Fashion Week, which has been rocking the capital since Tuesday, bar-restaurant‘An exhibition of photographs is presented by Hotel Le Roch Francois Goizet, outside the exuberance of shows and parties…well, almost. Indeed, this photographer, who has worked for numerous magazines for the past ten years, explores fashion, music and film stars and parties where he shoots celebrities. “Because of this exposure Image, I tried to get permission from the people taking photos, but not all of them responded to me. I don’t even know JoeyStarr, although I met him several times. It was for an Etam show at Georges in Beaubourg [ndlr. le restaurant situé au dernier étage]. I was the only photographer, so I climbed up on the crate next to the turntable to take his picture, and when people are singing and moving, you really have to work hard to have at least one good photographer. So I opened fire with the machine gun rapper Joey Starr with my flash and I think he got fed up because he just grabbed the champagne bottle and threw it at me to tell me to stop. It got me and my camera wet, but the result is incredible! I tried to contact him through his agent to send him the photo but never heard back. I would be very interested to know his reaction as I find it to be in character. I think he will have fun.”

“I love this picture. It was in 2016, at a party hosted by Carine Roitfeld [ancienne rédactrice en chef de Vogue Paris]. Same with dinner Babet Dijan, these moments are very special, because we feel that the guests are very happy to be here, they want to have fun. Cara Delevingne was dancing with her friends when I approached her to photograph her. He was euphoric, so I took the opportunity to ask him to make a face: he does it a bit like Sid. Vicious from the Sex Pistols with a barbed wire necklace that combines that punk spirit and contrasts with the world of fashion. I darkened the background of the photo to bring out Kara and saw that she almost looked like a flame at night, with cleavage and hair… Some time later I ran into her again at another party and she was with me. my first book Night on the Town in Paris, had just been released. I showed him this picture that he loved. He dedicated it to me with a small heart. “

“There were many celebrities and journalists at this party, they were taking pictures from all sides. It was a Chanel event at Tokyo Palace where Pharrell Williams was performing. Karl Lagerfeld was there, but faced pressure from the public and the press and had to leave through the back door before the show started. I was able to get in front of the stage, between the two photographers, and started taking pictures without taking up too much space. Then an unscheduled Katy Perry came on stage and they sang their new single Feels like, had just been released. The atmosphere was crazy! I love the composition of this photo because you don’t necessarily see them performing and you have no idea of my presence, they haven’t seen me. And then this contrast between all the necklaces, pearls, Pharrell’s Chanel logos and Katy’s very simple neckline… At the end of the show, Pharrell Williams let the crowd on stage, it was a pretty incredible moment: I have another photo that we we see journalist Suzy Menkes dancing behind the two artists with a wide smile. Two worlds indeed. [Rires]”
