New software updates for the Galaxy Buds2 Pro and Galaxy Watch series improve the Galaxy Camera experience

Samsung announces new software updates1 For Galaxy Buds2 Pro and Galaxy Watch series. The new app improves the camera experience for users around the world. Samsung’s Galaxy smartphones have long been providing the best experiences for anyone who wants to capture beautiful moments through photos and videos. User experiences are now even better by combining the smartphone with the latest wearable devices. Thanks to the new 360 Audio Recording function, the surrounding sound is integrated into the video content. Plus, the Camera Controller update makes zooming in and out easier to use. These software updates show Samsung’s desire to continue to provide its users with the best experience possible.
360 Audio Recording: Capture the world as you hear it
With the 360 Audio Recording feature, users can record the sound as they hear it. By pairing Galaxy Buds2 Pro with a Galaxy smartphone, anyone can create real-sounding videos anywhere, anytime, without the need for professional equipment. Thanks to the built-in microphone in each earpiece, sound can be captured in 360°. Thus, the listener experiences the feeling of being in the place where the video was shot. This allows users with headphones to watch videos with realistic sound.
360 Voice Recording2 is the first feature in the Galaxy series to use LE Audio, a new advanced Bluetooth audio standard. This new technology improves sound quality and reduces battery consumption. In addition, LE Audio offers a more complex and rich sound, which improves the audio experience. LE Audio now allows you to record audio using the left and right microphones simultaneously on the Galaxy Buds2 Pro. By pairing Buds2 Pro with a Galaxy Z Flip4 or Fold4 smartphone, you’ll discover how the interplay of high-quality audio and video can immerse you in the heart of a filmed scene.
Camera Controller: take the perfect shot from your wrist
Taking photos and videos with Galaxy lets you control your creativity in any situation. In this regard, the Galaxy Watch’s Camera Controller app is a good example. It allows users to control their phone’s camera directly from their wrist. A new update coming soon to the Galaxy Watch5 and Watch4 series brings new zoom capabilities to the app3. Users can control the zoom camera remotely by simply pinching the watch face or rotating the rings around the screen. This function is ideal for taking group photos or selfies from a longer distance.

The new 360 Voice Recording feature will be available on Galaxy Buds2 Pro, Galaxy Z Flip4 and Z Fold4 via a software update from January 17. The Camera Controller software update will be available on the Galaxy Watch5, Watch5 Pro, Watch4 and Watch4 Classic starting in February.

2 This feature will be available on Galaxy Buds2 Pro, Galaxy smartphone with ONE UI 5.0 or later, and Audio LE support including Galaxy Z Flip4, Fold4 and future Galaxy smartphones. The latest software versions are required on the Galaxy smartphone and Galaxy Buds. To enable the feature, after selecting video mode > Advanced video options, go to Samsung Camera app > Camera settings > Enable 360 Audio recording.
3 The feature is available on the Galaxy Watch5, Watch5 Pro, Watch4 and Watch4 Classic models, with a Galaxy smartphone running ONE UI 5.0 or later and with Camera Controller app support. Requires the latest firmware version to be installed via the Galaxy Wearable app.
