EcoFlow shows us the potential of its technology with three surprising products

EcoFlow, a specialist in energy storage devices, decided to use its technology in new products. For CES 2023, they’re introducing a complete robot, air conditioner, and refrigerator.

Do you know EcoFlow? The Chinese brand produces various energy storage devices. These include power plants electric station or power plants that can also be charged through solar panels.

Popular products include EcoFlow Delta 2, River 2… In fact, the product range is already very wide. These products offer solutions for different situations: for nomads, it is a transportable energy source that can be charged at home with solar panels, but also can allow 100% independence from the external grid. For example, to save money.

Finally, there is no telling when the world will descend into chaos, especially when the Doomsday Clock is 100 seconds past midnight. But on a less dramatic note, storms and power crises can cause power outages.

EcoFlow products have been particularly highlighted in the context of the risk of power outages in France, the recent winter storm in North America, and especially the war in Ukraine.

The EcoFlow brand is based on a variety of battery technologies, including LiFePO4 (LFP) batteries, which is the battery chemistry found in Model 3 Propulsion. This allows the lithium iron phosphate battery 3000 charging cycles before the capacity drops below 80%.

Aiming to diversify its product portfolio, EcoFlow had three products to announce at CES 2023.

EcoFlow Blade

EcoFlow boasts of creating the world’s first robotic lawnmower. We didn’t get into the nitty-gritty of the terms chosen in the press release because robotic lawnmowers already exist.

So here, EcoFlow Blade is an autonomous robotic mower capable of mapping the garden and taking care of the lawn mowing in complete autonomy. The mobile app offers the ability to isolate non-excessive areas, such as those found in robotic vacuum cleaners.

The trick here is that the Blade is 4G compatible via eSIM so you can travel long distances outside of Wi-Fi coverage.

EcoFlow glacier

EcoFlow Glacier is a portable refrigerator equipped with an integrated ice maker. It produces 18 small ice cubes in just 12 minutes and can last up to 24 hours (297 Wh) on a single charge to keep food fresh.

Also, as you can see, it can be moved with small wheels. It all depends on the EcoFlow application, of course.

EcoFlow Wave 2

EcoFlow also introduces the second generation of its portable air conditioner, now reversible (so it can heat).

This product can provide up to 5100 BTU of cooling power (compared to 4000 BTU for the first one) and is suitable for small rooms or tents. Heat capacity is rated at 6100 BUT.

The Wave can last up to 8 hours and recharge in less than two hours. It can also be equipped with solar panels or connected to other charging stations to extend its autonomy. The weight of the set is 14 kg, which is actually a portable air conditioner.

Pricing is not available for these products, but EcoFlow currently plans to release the lawn robot and refrigerator in spring 2023, and the air conditioner in summer 2023.
