Jiang Zemin’s body cremated Beijing – China News
The body of Jiang Zemin, who died last Wednesday, was cremated on Monday at the Babaoshan Revolutionary Cemetery in western Beijing.
Mr. Jiang was an outstanding leader who had great influence and was recognized by the entire Chinese Communist Party (CCP), the military, and the Chinese people of all ethnic groups.
He was a great Marxist and a great proletarian revolutionary, statesman, military strategist and diplomat. He was a hard-pressed communist fighter and outstanding leader of the great cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics. Xi Jinping, Li Keqiang, Li Zhanshu, Wang Yang, Li Qiang, Zhao Leji, Wang Huning, Han Zheng, Cai Qi, Ding Xuexiang, Li Xi, Wang Qishan and others went to the General Hospital of the People’s Liberation Army to pay. pay their last respects to Comrade Jiang before taking his body to the Babaoshan Revolutionary Cemetery for cremation.

A black banner with white symbols reading “Eternal glory to Comrade Jiang Zemin” was decorated in the hospital room dedicated to tributes. Below the banner was a large color portrait of Mr. Jiang.
Mr. Jiang’s body, draped in a CCP flag, lay amid flowers and green cypress trees.
Members of the honor guard stood on either side. In front of Mr. Jiang’s body, a floral arrangement presented by his wife Wang Yeping and other family members included a silk ribbon with the words, “You will live forever in our hearts.”
Inside the hall, Xi Jinping, Li Keqiang, Li Zhanshu, Wang Yang, Li Qiang, Zhao Leji, Wang Huning, Han Zheng, Cai Qi, Ding Xuexiang, Li Xi, Wang Qishan and Hu Jintao were presented as well as wreaths. At 10:20 a.m., members of the honor guard carried Mr. Jiang’s coffin out of the hall. Mr. Xi and other people escorted Mr. Jiang’s body to the hearse, which left for the Babaoshan Revolutionary Cemetery at 10:30 a.m.
As the hearse moved from the hospital to the cemetery, people from different walks of life in the Chinese capital lined the streets to say goodbye to their beloved comrade Jiang Zemin and expressed their deep sorrow.
At 10:50, the funeral car entered Babaoshan Revolution Cemetery. Mr. Xi and other people, as well as Mr. Jiang’s relatives, bid farewell to Mr. Jiang in the great hall.
Also among those who went to the hospital to pay their respects to Mr. Jiang were the leaders and former senior officials of the CCP Central Committee, NPC Standing Committee, State Council, National Supervisory Commission, Supreme People’s Court, Supreme Court.
