Stone and DaLuz, who have been dating since 2020, chose a unique name for their baby — one with a lot of “gravity” in it.
“Ernest Shackleton was a brave and noble British Antarctic explorer,” the resident of England said of his youngest son’s nickname. “The story that struck me the most was that he risked his life to save his crew; This is a beautiful story. I wanted to give Shack a name that had gravitas, something it could draw inspiration from and also be abbreviated to. [to Shack] and it still sounds cool. I hope he likes it!”
The Grammy winner announced in April that she and the Rhode Island native were expecting their second child, nearly a year after giving birth to Violet.
“She’s absolutely in love with her, always watching her, kissing and hugging her, and constantly trying to get into her crib so she can sit carefully next to him,” said Stone, who views her daughter as a big sister. “It’s the sweetest thing to watch. We are so lucky to have her, Violet is truly an angel. I love her so much. Shaq is a lucky boy to have such a loving sister.
Shackleton, who now looks like a mix of his parents and sister Violet, is the Never Forget My Love singer’s rainbow baby. Stone spoke candidly about her fertility journey after pregnancy loss.
“I lost a baby in October last year,” she said in an Instagram video from April. “It was really horrible because he was my baby and I know a lot of women go through that. It was just difficult. I went to the doctor and said why did this happen? and he said, ‘We don’t know why, Jos. These things happen only by the luck of the gods. It’s not your fault.’ I kept asking him to tell me why, but he couldn’t.
A year later, Shackleton completed Stone and DaLuz’s lineage as their romance continued to blossom.
“Cody is great.
