Frédéric Pechavy, President of Lot-et-Garonne CCI

“Overall, the economic activity of Lot-et-Garonne has been fairly resilient since Covid and until recent weeks, when the rise in energy prices has been a source of concern for business leaders. The health sector, for example, with UPSA, is in very good dynamics, while renewable energies such as Total Energies Biogaz or Fonroche Lighting are experiencing similar energy. Concerns about consumer behavior in the agri-food sector remain, but players in the sector are dynamic. However, difficulties should be noted in certain sectors such as construction, public works or public procurement in general.

CCI and its network aim to support managers throughout their company’s operations. In particular, like the Club of Exporters around Cédric de Bourayne, we have the means to support companies that want to try their hand at exporting. We have also been supporting companies for several years on energy and CSR issues with Gascogne Environnement, including organic industrialist Eric Bocquier, who supports companies in sustainable development. We can also mention on the agenda the activities of Prodia in the agri-food area, which stood out in the last National Meetings of the Departments… At CCI, we network to support the entire economic ecosystem of the department. project managers and business leaders. There is also a real problem in the context of business transfer, as many managers in the area are over 55 with know-how that needs to be retained. With the Region of Nouvelle-Aquitaine, we are entering a month of transmission in this regard. Among the major movements in the area, these Septets highlight men and women who take risks and take risks, albeit in troubling and adverse contexts. We are happy to participate here every year. »
